We are situated on the Sporting Shooters Association Australia ACT shooting complex. Once on Hector McIntosh Grove take the 3rd gate on the right.

Membership & Licencing

By joining Majura Park Gun Club and Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia we can assist you in obtaining your firearms licence.

As the Majura Park Gun Club (MPGC) is situated in the Sporting Shooters Association Australia (SSAA) ACT complex, we require all potential MPGC members to join SSAA in the first instance.

If you have SSAA membership and would like to join MPGC, you will need to …

1.  Click on the links below depending on what type of MPGC membership you are seeking (either ACTA comp or Beginners).

2. The completed form must be submitted in person. Bring your completed form with you to the club on any Wednesday night between 5 pm and 8:30 pm. EFTPOS is available at the club.  When payment is processed a receipt will be issued to you.

3. You will need to bring your firearms licence (if applicable).  You will also be required to show proof of SSAA membership in the form of a current membership card or receipt for the payment of membership fees.  Once this information is verified and your membership is endorsed by the administrative staff you will be then issued with an MPGC membership card with your membership number and membership type on it.

4. Now it’s time to get out and shoot some clays!

FAQ

Yes, please contact us with your ideas.

We specialise in clay target shooting however you can organize to sight in your rifle at the main range with SSAA ACT.

• Singlets, thongs, and camouflage are prohibited on the range. 

• Flat close-toe shoes must be worn at all times.   

• We recommend you bring hats and sunglasses in warmer weather.

• In the colder months try to dress warmly, however, bulky jackets with big collars are discouraged as they make it difficult to mount the shotgun into the shoulder correctly.

• If you wear corrective lenses for distance bring them with you as they can be beneficial to you during the activity.

• Yes you can come in fancy dress for the Buck or Hen party.

Yes, however we do not accept AMEX.

 

• Shotguns are to remain unloaded and in the open position at all times except when on the lanes preparing to shoot.

• ALL personal on the grounds to sign the attendance book on arrival.

• It is the shooters responsibility to know what squad they are in and be on the lanes at the time of round commencement.

We specialise in clay target shooting. Please direct any inquiries regarding rifle or pistol shooting to SSAA ACT. 

We still shoot in the rain. However, if it starts to rain heavily or there is lightning we will take a break until the worst of the weather passes.   We encourage you to wear weather appropriate clothing so you are as comfortable as possible during your experience.
