Clay target shooting ticks a lot of boxes for the ideal warm up for your Bucks or Hens party. Our instructors make sure that every skill level is catered for even if participants have never held a shotgun before.  No firearm licence is required to participate in our Bucks/Hens party events.

We provide everything you need of your clay target shooting experience:

The club is opened up just for you and in most cases, you have the place all to yourselves. Food and drink are BYO and you are welcome to consume alcohol after you have finished shooting. BBQ facilities are available if you plan to do lunch before the next stop on your Bucks/Hens party.

All this is located just 10 minutes from Canberra’s CBD.

Conditions
  • Sandals, thongs, high heels, singlet tops or camouflage gear are NOT permitted while participating.
  • Participants must always be able to follow the instructor’s directions.
  • Participants will not be able to partake if they are (or are believed to be) under the influence of either alcohol or drugs.
  • Safety is always our primary concern, followed by fun and smashing clays !

We have a minimum booking of 10. However, groups less than 10 will get to shoot more targets.

We can refund you for the 3 spots or you can choose to use the extra targets and shells on the day.

Our Olympic Trap layout has a new roof so don’t worry about the weather we will always try our best to accommodate beginner session bookings, where possible. Note there may be some delays as the squads move slightly slower in the wet. We encourage you to wear weather appropriate clothing so you are as comfortable as possible during your experience.

  • Arrival at venue MPGC
  • Firearms Safety Instructors introduce themselves and explain the safety aspects of Clay Target Shooting as well as the structure for the event.
  • Each participant will will be assisted with shooting techniques.
  • Complete individual/team competitions. The competition will generally include a variety of targets including single target, double targets and pairs events.
  • Conclusion of event
  • 3 hrs approx.
